This lee + mundwiler study was built on a 25 foot wide by 90 foot deep lot and validates the design principle 'Less is More'. Utilizing building materials garnered from Spain, New Zealand and Canada an eye catching residence never before seen was built. The house was documented by renowned photographers Julius Schulman and Articulis and has been published in the New York and Los Angeles Times. Affectionately known as the 'Coconut House' by its designers, it won the AIA award for single family dwellings in 2006 and still draws the attention of architecture students and enthusiasts alike.
