For an ALD qualify as “purebred” Multigen they have to be breed to another ALD in 4 consecutive mating. (taken from ALAA/ALCA clubs) Multigen ALD is been designed carefully and specifically to keep and maintain the genuine characteristic and specific genes of MALD (multigen Australian Labradoodle) as stipulated and regulated on ALCA, ALAA and WALA associations.

The main attraction to the Labradoodle was the low and non-shedding coats, but more and more people were won over by the wonderful disposition and kindness the Labradoodle possessed. These dogs were becoming so versatile, their intelligence and tenacity started to attract people and trainers’ wanting special dogs for sports and assistance/therapy dogs. Today you can see the Australian Labradoodle around the world as an allergy friendly soul mate, family companion, seizure alert dog, agility dog, assistance dog to the physically and mentally disadvantaged, guide dog, and in the not too distant future a gun dog and show dog.

Tegan Park research center and Ruthland Manor are the founders of the ALD as we know it today.
Began on 1980 carefully infusing several other breeds into early gen of their Lab/poodle crosses to improve temperament, coat, conformation and size.

The breeds infused include: Iris water spaniel, American and English cocker spaniel and some lines wheaten terrier. Carefully develop over generations with focus on temperament coat quality and soundness through diligent health testing and planned mating

--ALD are multigen meaning both parents of the dog are ALD and had been breed x 5 generations.

--No other doodle breed has been developed over generations like ALD

--ALD have consistent appearance and temperament thought the breed.

--ALD are people-focused dogs with exceptional eye contact and a desire to please.

Yes. When you get an ALD from HighStar Labradoodles we carefully breed, low to no shedding coat making them allergy friendly dog. When you get a dog from a responsible ALCA/WALA/ALAA breeder you can be sure the dog is allergy friendly. Always keeping in mind everyone is different, some people can be allergic not to the hair/coat, instead be allergic to the dog saliva, dander, etc. This is one of the reasons Multigen ALD’s is no like other doodles.

ALAA BREED COLOR About the Australian Labradoodle Association of America (ALAA) (alaa-labradoodles.com)

Due to high demand and exceptional temperament  on our Australian Labradoodles puppies, Reservation list tend to fill up one year in advance, To avoid this, We created a waiting list. After completing our application form here, you will be place on a general waiting list.  The reason for the questionnaire is we want to know the dynamics of your family, and making sure that our beloved puppy will go into good hands- we love all our dogs and puppies, they are part of our family and we take very serious where our dogs will grow and develop as the extraordinary dogs they are. Being on the waiting list doesn’t warranty a dog for a specific litter rather will warranty updates on pregnancy and once puppies are born you will be the first to know and be the first to place the deposit. The waiting time on the waiting list will depend on your specific inquiries on color/size/gender, which is fine but might make the waiting longer.

When puppies are born, we will start calling families in the order of the list. For example, if we have a litter of 8 puppies, we will call the 1st eight families. With this method you will have better idea of the physical characteristics of the litter. for example, all puppies are chocolate and you want a caramel doodle. If you still interested and no mind to wait for the next litter your name will stay on the waiting list, remember this will make the wait longer. If you want to pass this current litter, we will start then calling, given the example above, the family in the 9th position, giving them the opportunity to be part of current available puppies.

To get a puppy from current litter you have to be on the waiting list first, then you have up to 48 hours to make a non-refundable deposit of $400. Now you are on the Reservation list, which is in order of deposit received. We will ask for you to choose 1-3 color of the puppy in order of preference. Number one to be your first choice. We will try or best to match you with the puppy you selected, as long as it matches with temperament testing @ 7weeks.

Now if you are number one on the Waiting list, you need to be the first family to reserve the puppy with a non-refundable $400. For example, if you are number 5 on waiting list, and you make the deposit first, you will be first on the Reservation list. Now, if you are number one on the waiting list, but are the last to make the deposit, then you will be the last on the Reservation list.

No, what this means is for example. Your color preference is chocolate boy then caramel color. When we do temperament test, around 7 weeks to accommodate puppy with their perfect family. We notice chocolate matches your family, but it matches the family in #3 on the list as well, then chocolate puppy will be your puppy because you are number one. Same with sex preference.
