The OIH was formed on March 3, 2023, in Portland, Maine, with the main aims to provide hope and opportunity to promote cultural integration, health, and environmental awareness and educate young adults about cultural shock in North America. In addition, the OIH help ensures that no child is left behind; the OIH hopes to support High School Students and College and University Dropout with a designed complete Prevention and re-engagement student with opportunities and initiative projects to get the student back to learning. The OIH will apply for a grant project to focus on the high school, college, and University dropouts throughout the State of Maine for the school year. The OIH Resources pages contain materials from past training and events, various evaluation reports from OIH external evaluators, and tools and resources created by OIH to meet the State of Maine Education System Standards. In collaboration with State of Maine Districts schools, and hope to provide school dropout Prevention, regiment, and initiative to help drive graduation rate to the highest and reduce the dropout rates to the lowest rates using OIH measurement. The OIH will continue supporting student dropout prevention and re-engagement efforts and request funding through grant funding to identified districts/schools with the highest dropout rates and numbers. At re-engagement, the OIH’s primary focus is working with dropout students and ensuring that student-centered activities contribute to immediate action to decrease the number of students dropping out.
