K’HARMA
I started my clothing brand because I’m so in love with fashion that I thought it would be only right to sell clothes, and from then there started my own clothing brand “K’harma”.
When it comes to my business idol, I’m always inspired by Rihanna. She’s an ultimate entrepreneur, and she has done it all. From her music to her fashion lines and more, she has always been able to do it on her own terms—and that’s something I strive for as well.
I look up to Jay Z and Beyoncé in the industry because they are one of the major power couples in this world. They have built their empire from the ground up and have created a legacy for their kids that will last forever. Their influence is what inspires me most in my career—the idea that you can do whatever you want with your life if you work hard enough at it.
My influences are Virgil (Gucci), Off-White, and all major designers when it comes to clothing. The way they put together outfits is something I look up to every day when designing my own pieces for my brand.
I got into this industry mainly from the ground up; I don’t know anyone in this industry so I wasn’t able to get help with getting my foot in the door as some other brands do. But that just made me work harder! Now we’re seeing people around the world wearing our clothes everywhere and that’s a dream come true.
